Union Biometrica, Inc. to exhibit at Plant Biology 2012 in Austin, TX from July 20-24, 2012.

Working with fragile plant protoplasts has long been a challenge. Union Biometrica has recently demonstrated high speed, gentle sorting of protoplasts. We have successfully used our instruments to sort intact plant protoplasts and encapsulated protoplasts. In addition, our instruments have been used for high-throughput analysis and sorting of pollen, Arabidopsis thaliana seeds and plant cell clusters (calli). Automating these processes offers increased speed, sensitivity, unbiased quantification, and repeatability of experiments.

About Union Biometrica, Inc.
Union Biometrica designs and markets Large Particle Flow Cytometers (COPAS™ and BioSorter®) for objects that are too large / too fragile for traditional cytometers and offer an alternative to manual sorting. These systems sort and dispense objects based on size and fluorescent parameters.
Peer reviewed journal papers and application notes referencing the sorting of small plant models using our COPAS™ and BioSorter® instruments can be viewed via the links below.
