The important finding was that the use of this instrument as a dispenser did not affect the viability, proliferation, migration, differentiation or oxidative state when compared with manually plated neurospheres. Their conclusions identified this instrumentation as beneficial for increased throughput in neurosphere research, for studies not only in toxicology, but also neuroregenerative biology and screening for prospective drugs for medical health issues, like damage from stroke, disease, and aging studies.
