SAMPLE LOADING AND HANDLING

Instruments can be equipped with an X-Y stage to permit the dispensing of objects into micro-wells, including 24, 96, and 384-well plate formats. Using the COPAS software, users may define various loading templates or use company default templates.

The ReFLx Sampler option also provides enhanced sample analysis and handling capabilities. Designed for follow-up analysis of microtiter samples, this module provides additional hardware for the re-sampling of dispensed objects of interest from a 96 well microtiter plate for further analysis. The sampler will gently agitate and aspirate samples into the COPAS instrument flow cell for analysis. The samples being analyzed can be dispensed into a new 96 well microtiter plate.

Sample loading throughput can also be increased with the addition of a robotic-arm for plate handling, specifically for loading and unloading multiwell plates onto the system stage.
